Stripped bolts can be a frustrating problem, but there are several methods you can try to remove them without resorting to drilling. Here are three techniques to help you get the job done:

1. Use a Rubber Band

  1. Place a rubber band over the head of the stripped bolt.
  2. Use a wrench to turn the bolt counterclockwise.
  3. The rubber band will help to create friction and grip the bolt, allowing you to turn it.

2. Use a Bolt Extractor

  1. Insert the bolt extractor into the stripped bolt.
  2. Turn the bolt extractor counterclockwise to remove the bolt.
  3. Bolt extractors are specifically designed to grip and remove stripped bolts, and they can be very effective.

3. Use a Hammer and Chisel

  1. Place the chisel against the side of the bolt head.
  2. Use the hammer to strike the chisel, driving the bolt counterclockwise.
  3. This method may damage the bolt head, but it can be effective if the other methods don't work.

Remember, always wear safety glasses when working with tools and be careful not to apply too much force, as this could damage the surrounding area. If none of these methods work, you may need to resort to drilling the bolt out.
